Relationship Counseling
For women seeking healthier relationships with the loved ones in their lives
Life feels lonely.
You spend almost every waking moment with someone else—your children, your spouse, your coworkers—and yet, you somehow still feel alone. Your partner and you seem to bicker and argue more than you get along, and it feels like there are more meltdowns from your kids than you know what to do with.
You crave connection, but something’s missing.

Maybe you feel…
Unappreciated for everything you do in your home and life
Disconnected from your friendships because you haven’t had time to devote to them
Resentful of your partner and unsure of what the future holds for your relationship
Overwhelmed by your children’s behavior
Unsure of how to ask for what you need and set better boundaries with others
The best way to improve your relationship with others is to first invest in the one you have with yourself.
When you’ve spent years putting others’ needs before your own, it’s normal to wonder “who am I anymore?” (and, when it comes to your relationships, “who are we anymore?”) This is made even more difficult when it feels like no one truly listens or acknowledges your feelings.
While we can’t change the people in your life, we can change the way you respond to them. And that starts with getting back in touch with the real you.
Individual relationship counseling is a place where you can gain insight into patterns in your life you may not have noticed before, understand the role you play in what you’re experiencing, and help you make practical changes that lead to healthier, more fulfilling relationships.

How does individual relationship counseling work?
If you’re here, it’s because you know how important your relationships are, and you’ve realized you need some support to understand why they aren’t functioning the way you want them to. So we’ll begin by getting a really clear picture of what’s bringing you to therapy such as how you’re connecting (or not connecting) with your spouse, challenges with your in-laws or other family members, or difficulty communicating with your kids.
Our early experiences leave lasting impacts on how we view ourselves and relate to others, so we’ll also look at your upbringing, the relationships you had with your parents and siblings, and ways that experiences in your childhood or adolescence could be influencing how you feel today.
As we start to paint this picture, we’re likely to start seeing patterns. Maybe your tendency as a people pleaser means you struggle to ask for what you need, leading to resentment, or perhaps growing up in a household where you never felt fully accepted has led you to respond in specific ways to your own children.
As the saying goes, “what we resist persists, and what we look at disappears.” Once you can see these patterns, you can begin to understand them and start choosing to do things differently. And when you do that? All of the dynamics of your life start to shift.

You deserve relationships where you feel seen, heard, & understood.
THE PATH TO THAT STARTS HERE.
